Therefore, my whole life should be an exclamation in search of, and expectation of, the Spirit – an introspection – so that i may receive it with all my spiritual and natural powers. Without the Spirit of God, i am a non-existent entity, a nothing. Yet, i become a true person with the Holy Spirit. It alone is missing from my life.
We could say that the key meaning of our prayer and our life and our energy and our breathing should be, as St Seraphim of Sarov says very beautifully, this seeking after the Spirit. And if the Spirit should come, the purpose of your prayer is thus fulfilled. You then have God and you can experience the joy and the happiness of His presence. (Page 26)

On the other hand, the absence of the Spirit means the absence of God, which is hell. My life will either be paradise or hell. No one will go to paradise at some future time, just as no one will go to hell. What is hell? It is what happensssss when you do not love, as someone once put it. Indeed, when you do not love, you cannot fell anything we are speaking about. Yet, when you fell these things, it means that you love Him. (Page 27)
